I have my annual nest of birds in my ferns which I expected, but it's been a couple of years since we've had a batch of baby bunnies in our back yard. they are shamefully cute but it's making things rather interesting with the corgis. the back yard is their domain, and they know what is going on in every inch of it so it didn't take long for the nest to be discovered. thankfully they are just curious and not looking to harm them. still, I'll be glad when the babies get a bit bigger and expand their living quarters...away from the yard.
I met my deadline for finishing all Jane blocks by may 31. now I'm onto the triangles which total 46 plus the 4 corner blocks. I've taken the time to get all of the blocks up on the design wall which has really been an encouragement. as time allows I'll start sashing and putting the rows together while working on my 1 triangle a day. still on track to have them all done by mid-late July.
with those blocks done I now need to put a bit more time into getting some yarn spun. I really want the opa cardigan done by fall but at the pace I've been going, that isn't going to happen. it's not the spinning that I avoid but the flicking.
drying my first batch of lemon balm today!
